This month we bring you a few examples of what we get up to in the workshop and spotlight one of our team members who helps make it all happen.
Meeting the Need with Just-in-Time Precision
Read our latest story showcasing
some of the work we've been doing with Milson Foundry from Palmerston North.
We're proud of the feedback we've received from Milson Foundry, "they are always willing to make things work, even for outside-the-norm requests. When
things get difficult, they are committed to deeper resolution of issues." - Abrie Van Aarde, Production & Operations Manager.
CNC Turning A Little Info About CNC Milling
CNC milling is a specific form of computer numerical controlled (CNC) machining.
Milling is a machining process similar to both drilling and cutting. It is able to achieve many of the operations performed by cutting and drilling machines.
However, milling also uses a rotating cylindrical cutting tool to allow for complex designs.
What makes milling special is that this cutter is able to move along multiple axis. This means, at Myriad Engineering, we can create a variety of shapes,
slots and holes. The CNC Milling machine enables us to make a huge variety of simple and complex components to fill your requirements.
Meet Alex Glauninger. Originally from Germany, Alex is experienced in operating and programming numerically production machinery(CNC Machines). When a
manual process is needed, Alex also has a deft hand at welding, fabrication and much much more.On the weekend Alex enjoys practising martial arts and
tacking the bush walks around the Wellington region.
